    Job Summary
    麻豆传媒社区 is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, non-tenure track Assessment Librarian and Librarian Assistant Professor or Librarian Associate Professor faculty position in the University Libraries with a preferred start date of October 2025. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.


    Responsibilities

    1. Promote the integration of evidence-based decision making through assessment of library initiatives focused on student engagement and academic success.
    2. Coordinate data gathering on the use of library services, resources, spaces and web presence, that contribute to the data component of the libraries' strategic planning process, implementation of data-informed user-centered action items, and internal/external reporting (e.g. SACSCOC, annual reports, iPEDS, etc.)  
    3. Write and create reports and documents related to assessment initiatives (e.g. SACSCOC documentation, annual reports, surveys)
    4. Engage with KSU's diverse user communities to identify priorities, needs, and experiences related to the University Libraries. 
    5. Prepare and deliver internal training and documentation of assessment methodologies. 
    6. Develop and maintain partnerships with KSU departments and units that support assessment activities and initiatives, such as the Office of Institutional Research and Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment.   
      Maintain working knowledge of emerging trends in assessment and user experience. 
    7. Provide instruction in research and information literacy for both face-to-face and online classes. 
    8. Engage in service to the University Libraries, the campus, and/or the profession.  
    9. Participate in scholarship, research, and/or creative activity. Contribute to the development of the library profession and/or subject-specific discipline through scholarship, presentations, and publications.
       
      Because our libraries are open 7 days a week and in the evenings, this position will occasionally be required to work during these times to serve the needs of the students. This position will work on both the 麻豆传媒社区 and Marietta campuses. 


    Required Qualifications

    • An earned terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, appropriate to a contemporary research-intensive library, such as an MLIS, or other related equivalent terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent. 
    • A minimum of two years experience working in an academic library, related institution or equivalent experience.
       

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent presentation skills  
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills 
    • Ability to work independently, self-driven, and excellent follow-up skills. 
    • A record of professional service  
    • A record of developing scholarship within academic librarianship or a subject specialty  
    • Demonstrated proficiency in designing assessment projects, collecting, and analyzing data 
    • Demonstrated experience leading assessment initiatives and setting up benchmarking. 
    • Experience with quantitative research using statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, or Stata and/or data visualization principles and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Gephi 
    • Evidence of effective project management, scheduling experience, and ability to meet deadlines

    Job Summary
    麻豆传媒社区 is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Cataloging and Metadata Librarian and Librarian Assistant Professor or Librarian Associate Professor faculty position in the 麻豆传媒社区 Libraries with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a twelve-month contracted position.  This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
     


    Responsibilities

    • Perform original and complex copy cataloging; create and enrich metadata for library materials in all formats, including monographs, serials, audiovisual, digital, and electronic resources; ensure compliance with cataloging and classification practices, standards, and schema.
    • Collaborate with members of the Resource Strategy & Management unit and other units of the library to support projects and goals.
    • Develop in coordination with the Director of RSM and the Metadata Specialist appropriate standards, policies, procedures, and workflows for metadata projects
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with KSU units, departments, centers, etc. that support student and faculty research efforts and metadata.
    • Support university research teams' activities and initiatives.
    • Maintain working knowledge of emerging trends in librarianship, cataloging, and metadata management
    • Engage in service to University Libraries, the campus, and/or the profession.
    • Participate in scholarship, research, and/or creative activity. Contribute to the development of the library profession and/or subject-specific discipline through scholarship, presentations, and publications.

    Because our libraries are open 7 days a week and in the evenings, these positions will occasionally be required to work during these times to serve the needs of the students. These positions will work on both the 麻豆传媒社区 and Marietta campuses.
     


    Required Qualifications

    • An earned master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, appropriate to a contemporary research-intensive library, such as an MLIS, or other related equivalent terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated experience or coursework in the maintenance of library cataloging or metadata
       

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in an academic library
    • Familiarity with OCLC & OCLC Connexion
    • Familiarity with Library Management Systems (LMS) such as Alma or FOLIO
    • Knowledge of encoding standards such as MARC and non-MARC (e.g. BIBFRAME, or Dublin Core)
    • Experience in original and complex cataloging for a variety of library resources
    • Experience in a transition of library Learning Management Systems
    • Experience in maintaining effective relationships, working collaboratively, and being on a team
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
    • Strong skills in critical thinking, follow-up, and investigation relating to library cataloging

    Job Summary
    Responsible for managing and developing brand awareness through strategic advertising and social media for the assigned department. Creates print, online, and promotional marketing and educational materials to support recreation facilities, programs, and events. Serves as the department representative for outreach in coordination with department leadership. Assists in benchmarking, researching, and reporting the effectiveness of marketing efforts by the department. May provides oversight and management of social media and other marketing platforms through the use of assigned staff and/or student staff and content creation. Actively participates in marketing initiatives, providing support where needed.


    Responsibilities
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - 

    1. Works to strategize, plan, develop, and execute marketing and communications campaigns
    2. Writes articles and designs layouts for electronic newsletters
    3. Manages social media accounts to expand the department's presence
    4. Manages social media platforms, including scheduling, creating content, monitoring conversations, and responding to comments
    5. Reports analytics on communication responses and online interactions with students, faculty, staff, and other constituents
    6. Collaborates and coordinates with department leaders on sales and/or marketing campaigns
    7. May supervise assigned staff and/or student assistants
    8. Maintains the brand and graphic standards, techniques, and methods of the department and University
    9. Works with program areas within division and/or department to highlight priority areas through tabling and collaboration events on and off campus
    10. Manages outreach opportunities which may include events such as orientations, homecoming, the week of welcome, involvement fairs, and open houses based on department needs
    11. Handles administrative tasks assigned by department leadership


    Required Qualifications
    Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

    Proposed Salary
    The budgeted salary range is $47,000 to $55,000.  Offers are based on relevant experience.
